NABLUS (Ma’an) -- Palestinian Authority liaison officials secured the release of a 16-year-old from Israeli custody, a coordination officer said Tuesday.

Israeli forces detained Mahmoud Seif, from Burqa village, for walking too close to the Shave Shomron settlement in Nablus, Mujahed Abu Dayyeh said in a statement.

Palestinian liaison officials contacted their Israeli counterparts and negotiated the release of the teenager, Abu Dayyeh said.
