Palestinian lawyers to boycott Israeli courts

Feb. 24, 2013 6:57 P.M. (Updated: Feb. 25, 2013 8:09 P.M.)
RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Lawyers representing Palestinians will boycott Israeli courts on Monday in protest at the death of Arafat Jaradat in Israeli custody.

The Ministry of Detainee Affairs announced the strike on Sunday, a day after 30-year-old Jaradat died in Megiddo prison.

The ministry says Jaradat died after being tortured during interrogation by Israeli officers.
