Jerusalem archbishop visits solidarity tent for prisoners

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Archbishop Theodosius Atallah Hanna on Wednesday visited a solidarity tent near Ramallah for prisoners on hunger strike.

"Our duty is to defend prisoners in Israeli detention because we love our land and our nation," the Jerusalem archbishop said at the tent in al-Bireh.

He called on all people to intensify solidarity campaigns in support of prisoners.

"The Palestinian prisoners issue is the cause of all Arabs and Palestinians, Christians and Muslims," he added.
