RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- A 27-year-old man died in Ramallah on Wednesday of wounds sustained in clashes with Israeli forces at the start of the second intifada.

Rami Jamal Talib, of al-Jalazoun refugee camp, was wounded in his back and partially paralyzed in clashes with Israeli soldiers in October 2000.

Large numbers of mourners attended his funeral Wednesday in al-Jalazoun camp.

The local Fatah movement sent condolences to Talib's family.
