GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Israeli military vehicles on Tuesday briefly entered border areas in the north and south of the Gaza Strip, locals said.

Military vehicles and bulldozers entered a border area near Khan Younis, south Gaza and east of Jabalia in northern Gaza, witnesses told Ma'an.

Locals said gunshots were heard in both areas, with no injuries reported.

An Israeli army spokesperson did not return calls seeking comment.
