TEL AVIV, Israel (Ma'an) -- A Palestinian man was stabbed to death early Friday morning in Rishon Lezion, south of Tel Aviv, Israeli media reported.

The 25-year-old was brought to the Assaf Harofeh Medical Center with knife wounds to the chest and died on the operating table, the Israeli news site Ynet reported.

According to Ynet, the victim was from the West Bank and was working at a construction site in Israel without a permit.

Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld told Ma'an he was not familiar with the report.
