Customs officials seize meat, fake hair removal products in Hebron

Feb. 14, 2013 4:52 P.M. (Updated: Feb. 14, 2013 4:53 P.M.)
HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Palestinian customs officials on Thursday seized meat smuggled from Israel and counterfeit hair removal products in Hebron, the Joint Control Commission said.

The commission, a committee of customs police and the national economy and health ministries, seized two refrigerator trucks carrying 17 tons of meat smuggled from Israel.

It also confiscated 20 tons of counterfeit hair removal products following a complaint by a manufacturer that a trader was imitating its trademarked logo.
