Official: Egypt seizes car parts en route to Gaza

EL-ARISH, Egypt (Ma'an) -- Egyptian forces in Sinai on Thursday detained a suspected smuggler and seized a vehicle carrying car parts destined for the Gaza Strip, a security official said.

An Egyptian official told Ma'an that forces stationed at Kamen al-Rayseh checkpoint in el-Arish stopped an unlicensed vehicle carrying the car parts, which were to be smuggled into Gaza through tunnels.

The driver was arrested, the official said.
