Bethlehem girl dies in swing accident

BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) – An 11-year-old girl from the Bethlehem area in the southern West Bank died Friday while she was playing on a swing in her backyard, locals said.

The girl died after becoming entangled in a rope holding up the swing, they said.

She was taken to hospital in Bethlehem and pronounced dead on arrival, said Red Crescent director of ambulance and emergency services of Abdul-Halim Jaafira.
