Man dies in oxygen tank explosion in Tulkarem

TULKAREM (Ma’an) -- A 21-year-old Palestinian man was killed and his father injured when an oxygen tank exploded in the northern West Bank on Thursday.

Majed Abu Zahre was fixing the tank in his Tulkarem refugee camp shop when the tanks exploded, seriously injuring him and his father.

Zahre died shortly after in Thabet Thabet hospital in Tulkarem.

Police have opened an investigation into the incident.
