Gunmen kidnap Coptic trader in Sinai, officials say

EL-ARISH, Egypt (Ma'an) -- Gunmen kidnapped a Coptic Christian trader in Sinai on Tuesday, Egyptian security officials said.

Ban Subhi Ghali, 45, was kidnapped in the city of Sheikh Zuweid by gunmen who demanded 250,000 Egyptian pounds ($37,000) as a ransom for his release.

Security officials in north Sinai are investigating the incident.
