EL-ARISH, Egypt (Ma'an) -- Egyptian authorities in Sinai rearrested a Palestinian prisoner on Sunday who escaped from jail in late January, security sources said.

The prisoner, identified only as M.A, escaped from the Wadi al-Natroun prison in El-Arish and had been hiding in a residential home in the north Sinai city, sources said.

He was rearrested following a raid on the property and taken back to the jail.
