Official: Vatican to donate 100,000 euros to Bethlehem church

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- The Vatican has pledged 100,000 euros to repair the Nativity Church in Bethlehem, the Palestinian Authority said Wednesday.

A delegation from the Vatican met with PA Foreign Ministe Riyad al-Maliki in Ramallah to discuss a draft bilateral agreement, the PA said in a statement.

The Vatican delegation was headed by undersecretary for relations with states Ettore Balestrero and several Palestinian officials, including PA adviser on Christian affairs Ziad Bandak, also attended the meeting.
