Israeli forces 'confiscate' property in Jenin village

Jan. 30, 2013 1:56 A.M. (Updated: Jan. 31, 2013 1:50 A.M.)
JENIN (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces confiscated part of a property under construction in Jenin on Wednesday, locals said.

The brother of the home owner, Muhammad Sami Abu Baker, told Ma'an that two military jeeps arrived in Yabad village early Wednesday and took control of the property, installing surveillance cameras and placing an Israeli flag on the house.

Abu Baker confronted the soldiers and was told that the home was now part of a closed military area.

An Israeli army spokesman did not return calls seeking comment.
