BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- A settler was stabbed in the northern West Bank on Tuesday, Israel's army said.

"A Palestinian stabbed and moderately wounded an Israeli civilian near Tappua junction," an Israeli army spokeswoman said.

The suspect was chased by an Israeli soldier and held until border police arrived at the Nablus area checkpoint, she added.

The settler, a teenager, was moderately wounded after being stabbed in the abdomen by a 20-year-old Palestinian, Israeli media reported.
