Gaza Interior Ministry releases 34 prisoners

GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- The Ministry of Interior in Gaza released 34 prisoners on Saturday to mark the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, the ministry said.

The prisoners had served the majority of their sentences in rehabilitation centers and were released under the orders of Interior Minister Fathi Hammad said in a statement.

The ministry said that it would use all religious and national holidays as an opportunity to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people.
