Army: 4 Palestinians detained in overnight raids

Jan. 24, 2013 9:57 A.M. (Updated: Jan. 24, 2013 8:07 A.M.)
BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained four Palestinians in raids across the West Bank overnight Wednesday, the army said.

An Israeli military spokeswoman said soldiers detained two people from Beit Duqqu, near Ramallah, another from Sanniriya near Qalqiliya and a fourth person near Hebron.

She told Ma'an they were taken for security questioning.

Earlier Wednesday, Israeli soldiers arrested two solidarity activists from Ramallah in Hebron, Youth Against Settlements representative Badee Dweik said.

Dweik said 16-year-old Baraa al-Atrash and Muhammad Yousif, 28, were in Hebron to show solidarity with residents of Tal Rumeida when they were detained by Israeli soldiers in the central Hebron neighborhood.
