Jan. 23, 2013 10:29 A.M. (Updated: Jan. 23, 2013 7:02 P.M.)
TULKAREM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces closed a checkpoint crossing in the northern West Bank on Wednesday, preventing Palestinian laborers from getting to work in Israel, witnesses said.

Israeli forces closed the Tayba crossing and fired tear gas canisters at laborers, witnesses told Ma'an, with several people requiring medical attention.

An Israeli army spokeswoman said she was looking into the incident.
