Jordan facilitating work of Gaza traders

GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Jordan is working to facilitate trade in the Gaza Strip, officials said Wednesday.

Ali al-Hayek, chairman of the industries union, said Jordan had granted 200 traders in Gaza certificates of non-objection, allowing them entry into Jordan for six months.

Sixty Palestinian traders registered with the chamber of commerce are among those granted the certificate, said Hassan Abu Rayaleh, head of the chamber of commerce's steering committee.

Abu Rayaleh thanked the Jordan's King Abdullah for facilitating the work of Palestinian businessmen.
