Teacher kidnapped in Salfit

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- A school teacher was kidnapped on Tuesday in the West Bank city of Salfit, locals said.

Jihad Hamid Salim was abducted by unknown assailants at 7 a.m. while on his way to work in the Salfit village of Deir Ballut, witnesses told Ma'an.

The motive behind the kidnapping is unclear and security services are investigating the case, with a search already underway for Salim.
