GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Israel closed the Erez crossing with the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, sources in Gaza said.

Travelers, patients and internationals were waiting to cross the border when Israeli authorities made the announcement.

Erez is used by foreigners and the few Palestinians with permits. Israel grants some patients needing urgent medical treatment and some traders permission to use the crossing.
