Tulkarem transport union to strike on Wednesday

Jan. 5, 2013 3:06 P.M. (Updated: Jan. 5, 2013 3:06 P.M.)
TULKAREM (Ma'an) -- The public transport union in Tulkarem will participate in a general strike planned for Wednesday, director Muhammad Yasin said.

The general strike is in protest against the lack of action by the Palestinian Authority towards driver demands and a rise in fuel taxes, Yasin said.

All Tulkarem drivers should await instructions from the union in order to improve their rights, he added.
