HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces made multiple arrests overnight in the West Bank, including a member of the Palestinian Authority security forces, locals said.

Witnesses said Muhammad Gamal al-Tal, 19, was arrested in the Hebron village of al-Dhahiriya by Israeli forces after a raid on his home.

Al-Tal is a member of the PA's presidential guard, locals said.

An Israeli army spokesman said five people were arrested overnight, with one in al-Dhahiriya and four in Beit Awa, Hebron.

Locals said Osama Muhammad Abu Abeid, Loai Abu Abeid and another man were also arrested in Jenin.
