EL-ARISH, Egypt (Ma'an) -- Turkey has donated 70 tons of medical aid to the Gaza Strip, an Egyptian security official said Sunday.

Twelve vehicles carrying medicine and hospital equipment have arrived in el-Arish in Egypt's Sinai and will be transferred to Gaza on Tuesday through Rafah crossing, the security officer told Ma'an.

A Turkish deputy will accompany the convoy, the officer added.
