Fuel tank explosion injures 2 near Ramallah

RAMALLAH (Ma’an) -- A fuel tank exploded in a gas station near Qalandiya refugee camp in Ramallah on Tuesday, injuring two workers.

Civil defense officer Luay Bani Audah told Ma’an maintenance workers were welding near a diesel tank when sparks set it alight, causing an explosion. He said two workers sustained fractures and burns and were evacuated to a hospital in Ramallah.

Civil defense officers brought the fire under control.
