Lawyer's car torched in Jenin

Dec. 11, 2012 1:04 P.M. (Updated: Dec. 12, 2012 6:37 P.M.)
JENIN (Ma'an) -- A lawyer's car was set on fire in Jenin overnight Monday, Palestinian police said.

Mansour Massad told Ma'an that he heard a explosion outside of his home at around 1 a.m. and looked outside to find his car on fire.

He immediately called the police, who arrived at the scene to investigate.

Massad said does not know why he was targeted and police are investigating the incident.

The lawyers union suspended work in Jenin's court system on Tuesday in response to the arson attack, calling on authorities to find the perpetrators.
