GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Hamas chief Khaled Mashaal and prime minister Ismail Haniyeh visited the sister of late president Yasser Arafat on Sunday.

The senior Hamas officials were accompanied by several other group members on the visit to Khadija Arafat's home, a Ma'an reporter said.

Hamas official Izzat al-Rishiq said the visit was impressive and provided an opportunity for Hamas leaders to meet members of Arafat's family, as well as Fatah leaders Zakariya al-Agha and Hisham Abdul-Raziq.
