Locals: Israeli jeep damaged by firebomb near Nablus

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- An Israeli military jeep was damaged near Nablus late Saturday by a Molotov cocktail thrown by youths, local sources said.

Palestinian youths in the village of Sarra confronted Israeli forces in the area and threw stones and a firebomb at a military jeep, causing it to set alight.

Soldiers fired large amounts of tear gas and rubber bullets at villagers in response, the sources added.

An Israeli spokeswoman said she would look into the incident.
