Egypt security: 3 rockets fired from Sinai toward Israel

Nov. 17, 2012 12:39 A.M. (Updated: Nov. 18, 2012 10:58 A.M.)
EL-ARISH, Egypt (Ma'an) -- Militant groups in Egypt's Sinai fired three rockets into Israel on Friday evening, an Egyptian security source said.

Egyptian forces witnessed militants fire three rockets across the border from al-Ajrah, a desert area south of Rafah, a security official told Ma'an.

Egyptian security forces cannot reach al-Ajrah because it is controlled by Jihadist groups, he added.

An Israeli military spokeswoman did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
