Medical official: Gaza man wounded by gunshot to head

GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- A man was seriously wounded in Gaza on Sunday after being shot in the head by unknown assailants, a medical official said.

Gaza Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qidra told Ma'an that Ibrahim Abu Rezqa was shot while standing outside his home in Khan Younis.

He was transferred to hospital for treatment.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear and police are investigating the incident.
