
BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- In line with its commitment to transparency, Ma'an Network has released its 2011 financial report.
The report, which is audited annually, includes consolidated financial statements for the network. They include the consolidated statements of its financial position, a statement of activities and changes in net assets, a consolidated cash flow statement for the past year, and a summary of significant accounting policies.
The report was audited by PricewaterhouseCoopers, which reported that Ma'an's financial statements for the year 2011 were consistent with international standards.
Ma'an chairwoman Nibal Thawabta says the organization has committed to publishing financial reports for the Palestinian community for five years as part of its transparency policy. She said the policy was adopted in order to preserve the right of citizens to know which is one of the basic rights of the Palestinian people.
