Man drowns in public swimming pool near Ramallah

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- A man drowned on Friday in a public swimming pool in Birzeit, police said in a statement.

The unnamed 40-year-old was evacuated by civil defense crews but was unconscious and without a pulse.

They performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the scene, but he was pronounced dead at hospital.
