Israeli army: 1 arrested on Jordan border

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli soldiers on Sunday arrested a person crossing the border from Jordan, Israeli military officials reported.

They said the individual was carrying sacks which contained large amounts of heroin and cocaine. The sacks were transferred to Israeli police, the officials said.

The detainee was not immediately identified.
