BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- Detainees in Israeli jails are set to escalate hunger strike action on Saturday, prisoners told Ma'an.

Detainees at Nafta, Rimon, Ashkelon and Beersheva jails will go on hunger strike to demand an end to solitary confinement, improvements living conditions, and to demand family visits for Gazan prisoners.

The action is also to support detainees who are already on hunger strike, such as Hana Shalabi, prisoners said.
