DFLP armed wing call for response to assassination

March 9, 2012 7:38 P.M. (Updated: March 9, 2012 7:39 P.M.)
GAZA CITY (Ma’an) -- The military wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine on Friday demanded a response to the assassination of two Palestinian faction members earlier in the day.

The national resistance brigades held Israel fully responsible for the escalation and called on Egypt to intervene, a statement said.

An Israeli strike targeting a car in western Gaza killed the head of the Popular Resistance Committees and a former prisoner released by Israel four years ago, medical officials said Friday.
