Israel detains 4 at Jenin checkpoint

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained four Palestinians crossing through a Jenin checkpoint on Sunday morning, officials said.

The men were seized at the Salem military checkpoint north of Jenin, where they attempted to enter Israel, an Israeli army spokesman said.

In their possession were 11 pipe bombs, ammunition, a knife and a pistol, he added.
