Dec. 28, 2011 2:50 P.M. (Updated: Dec. 29, 2011 12:04 P.M.)
QALQILIYA (Ma'an) -- A Palestinian taxi driver was injured after his vehicle collided with an Israeli military jeep in the northern West Bank on Wednesday, officials said.

Civil defense crews extracted the man, who was not named, from his damaged vehicle after the crash near Azzun village in Qalqiliya district.

He was moderately bruised and transferred to hospital, civil defense staff said in a press statement.

An Israeli army spokesman said he was familiar with the incident, adding that the military personnel and vehicle were not harmed by the crash.
