BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- The Egyptian ambassador to the Palestinian Authority expressed Cairo's condemnation Wednesday of attacks targeting protesters.

Yasser Othman was speaking during a visit to Nabi Saleh to extend his condolences to the family of Mustafa Tamimi.

He said Egypt stood in solidarity with the village and considered it a model of resolve against settlements.

He stressed that Egypt had not altered its position which rejects settler aggression against the Palestinian people and their property.
