GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Kuwait's state development fund will finance the building of five schools in Gaza run by the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, official media said Monday.

The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development signed an agreement with UNRWA in Amman to build the schools, worth $9.55 million, the state Kuwait news agency reported.

One of the schools will have a environmentally-friendly building designed Italian architectural firm Mario Cucinella, the report said.
