BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- The Israeli army said reports that a projectile had landed in southern Israel on Wednesday morning were a "false alarm."

The Israeli news site Ynet reported Wednesday that a rocket fired from Gaza landed in the southern Ashkelon district causing no damage or injuries but an Israeli military spokeswoman later said the reported explosion was a false alarm.
