Egypt says would-be migrants to Israel thwarted

El-ARISH, Egypt (Ma’an) -- Egyptian security forces said officers thwarted the attempt of African migrants to enter Israel from Egypt on Thursday morning.

Border guards detained 21 Sudanese nationals officials said were attempting to illegally enter Israel for work.

Upon questioning, security officials said, the men said they had each paid $1,000 to be smuggled into the country.
