Settlers attack Aqraba farmland

March 22, 2011 6:14 P.M. (Updated: March 23, 2011 5:12 P.M.)
NABLUS (Ma'an) -- Settlers on Tuesday destroyed agricultural land owned by Palestinian villagers near Nablus in the northern West Bank.

The Agricultural Work Committees Union recently planted hundreds of seedlings on the land around Aqraba village.

Residents of the illegal Itamar settlement uprooted the seedlings and destroyed water wells in the area, the union said.

The union appealed to international organizations to intervene and protect Palestinians and their properties from escalating settler violence.
