Gaza fighters: Projectile fired at Israeli military tower

GAZA CITY (Ma’an) -- A militant group in Gaza said fighters fired a C5K rocket toward an Israeli military guard tower on Thursday, saying in a statement that attacks against military infrastructure would continue until Israel's occupation ended.

The National Resistance Brigades, the military wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, said the munition was fired at a watch tower south of the Kissufim military base, located northeast of Khan Younis, on the Gaza-Israel border.

"We choose the option of resistance as the means to attain our national rights, and promise the Palestinian people that we will continue resistance against Israeli forces," the statement from the brigades said.

An Israeli military statement said a projectile hit the Sdot Negev Regional Council overnight, but caused no injuries.
