JERICHO (Ma'an) -- Palestinian Authority police said officers stationed at the Allenby border crossing arrested 26 Palestinians wanted for fraud and other crimes, a weekly round-up of activity at the crossing said.

The 26 were detained amidst 9,674 who traveled from the West Bank into Jordan, including 96 foreign nationals and 31 Israeli ID card holders. Palestinian ambulances transported 21 patients to Jordan for medical treatment.

There were 42 Palestinians denied passage out of the country for "security concerns," Israeli crossing officials said.

Returning to the West Bank were 8,896 including 101 foreign nationals and 47 holders of Israeli ID cards.
