Houses raided, detentions in Al-Isawiya, Beit Hanina

JERUSALEM (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces entered three homes in East Jerusalem neighborhoods Thursday morning, detaining two men and a minor for unspecified reasons, family members said.

In the Al-Isawiya neighborhood, the wife and children of Ahmas Moussa Mustafa, 28, said the patriarch was detained after police and sniffer dogs broke into the home shortly after 2 a.m.

A second home was also raided, witnesses said, and troops escorted a minor into police vehicles. The teenager has not been identified.

Across the city in the Palestinian neighborhood of Beit Hanina, Israeli forces raided the house of Samer Samoum, 35, from and searched his house allegedly looking for weapons. Family members said no weapons were found, but that Samoum was detained regardless.

An Israeli police spokesman said he would look into the reports.
