Allenby/Karama crossing to operate 24/7 for holiday rush

Nov. 12, 2010 10:24 A.M. (Updated: Nov. 12, 2010 7:38 P.M.)
JERICHO (Ma'an) -- Palestinian police announced the holiday hours for the border crossing linking the West Bank to Jordan, four days ahead of a scheduled Eid Al-Adha holiday.

From Saturday 13 November until Friday 19 November, the crossing will operate for 24 hours a day on the Jordanian side, except for the 16th, when it will be closed all day.

Palestinian officials said their end of the crossing would closed on Tuesday as well, with agents working Wednesday from 8:00a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for travelers to Jordan and to midnight for travelers returning to the West Bank.
