GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- A worker collecting stone and rubble aggregates in the northern Gaza Strip on Thursday morning was moderately injured in an explosion.

Medical services spokesman Adham Abu Silmiyya said the man, in this 30s, was transferred to Kamal Udwan Hospital in Jabaliya. Medics believed the injuries were caused by the remains of Israeli ordnance near the Erez crossing.

The injury is the third in as many days, with workers in the north being taken to hospital Tuesday and Wednesday after they were by Israeli fire.

(This version CORRECTS location of incident is northern Gaza, not northern West Bank.)
