Aug. 27, 2010 12:15 P.M. (Updated: Aug. 28, 2010 10:40 A.M.)
RAFAH (Ma’an) -- The death of an unidentified 22-year-old man will be investigated by police, medics told Ma'an, after his body was found in an abandoned tunnel south of Rafah.

Head of emergency and ambulance services Muawiya Hassanein said medics discovered the body in a smuggling tunnel near the Egyptian border that was no longer in use.

Hassanein said the body was taken to the Abu Yousef Al-Najjar Hospital, and would later be transferred to a forensics lab to determine the cause of death.

The official said government police had opened an investigation into the incident.
