Gaza – Ma'an – A Jordanian aid convoy arrived in a Gaza hospital on Monday, after being permitted entry through the northern Erez crossing with Israel, a day after it arrived in the West Bank.

Chief of the Jordanian Hospital in Gaza, where the aid convoy arrived, Hussein Ghudeibat, said six truckloads arrived loaded with medical equipment, fuel, and other items needed for the hospital. Infant formula and wheelchairs were also donated, which Ghudeibat said will be distributed.

The convoy was donated by the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization as the kingdom vows to continue delivering aid to Gaza.

On Sunday, Jordan's Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh that the kingdom was seeking to end Israel's blockade of Gaza, adding that it considered having broken it several times through its frequent aid convoys and its donations to the hospital.

During a meeting with members of the press to brief them on current regional issues, the foreign minister indicated that Jordan is working with Arab and regional countries to have the UN issue a decision committing Israel to lifting its illegal siege on Palestinians in Gaza, the daily Jordan Times reported.

Last week, King Abdullah urged authorities to dispatch more aid convoys of relief supplies from Jordan to the Gaza Strip through the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization which has been in charge of sending aid to Gaza for over a year, the daily added.
