Nov. 17, 2009 8:24 P.M. (Updated: Nov. 18, 2009 1:21 P.M.)
Bethlehem – Ma’an – The citizens of Al-Matalla village east of Jenin appealed to Prime Minister Salam Fayyad and Minister of Education Lamis Al-Alami to furnish their school with an English teacher.

The appeal, made Tuesday, marked the 20th day the village school was without an English teacher. The 300-student secondary school, part of the Palestinian Authority school system, offers daily instruction in Arabic grammar as well as English lessons, in conjunction with the standard maths and science courses.
